Prof. Marit Honer\u00f8d Hoveid<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prof. Marit Honer\u00f8d Hoveid is a Professor in the Department of Education and Lifelong Learning at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). She holds a PhD in Teacher<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Education from NTNU (2009), as well as a Cand. Polit. degree in social pedagogy from the University of Oslo (1989). Before joining NTNU in 2009, she spent 16 years working in teacher<\/p>\n\n\n\n

education in Alta, Northern Norway, and became a full professor in 2015.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her research focuses on the relationship between teaching and learning, emphasising the<\/p>\n\n\n\n

social and cultural embeddedness of learning processes. Key themes in her work include<\/p>\n\n\n\n

mentoring and counselling, leadership, and organisational development in education. Her<\/p>\n\n\n\n

theoretical orientation is influenced by the work of Paul Ricoeur and Luce Irigaray, shaping her<\/p>\n\n\n\n

interest in language use, gender, and practical reason.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prof. Hoveid currently serves as President of the European Educational Research Association<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(EERA) (since August 2023). She is Editor\u2011in\u2011Chief of the Nordic Journal of Education and<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Practice and Editor\u2011in\u2011Chief of the Bloomsbury book series Philosophy and Education in<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Practice. She is also an EERA Emerging Researchers Senior Fellow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr Ineke Pitten Cate<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr Ineke Pitten Cate is a Senior Research Scientist at the Luxembourg Centre for Educational Testing (LUCET), University of Luxembourg, and since September 2025, the Senior Mentor of the EERA Emerging Researchers Group. Her work reflects a strong appreciation for interdisciplinary approaches and a commitment to diversity and inclusion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her research spans multiple areas of psychology\u2014including educational, developmental, and<\/p>\n\n\n\n

social psychology\u2014with a central focus on understanding and addressing educational and<\/p>\n\n\n\n

societal inequalities. She has published extensively in peerreviewed journals, book chapters,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

and research reports. Dr Pitten Cate regularly serves as a reviewer for international journals<\/p>\n\n\n\n

and conferences and is an Associate Editor of Social Psychology of Education.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
